Our Pastor

The minister of Memorial Baptist church, Rev. April Van Ness, was born and raised in Hamilton Township, NJ,  and was a member of the Hamilton Square Baptist Church.  She studied and graduated from Alderson-Broaddus college in Philippi, West Virginia, an American Baptist Convention affiliated institution with a Bachelor of Arts degree.  Pastor April also studied at the Palmer Theological Seminary, an American Baptist Seminary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was awarded a Master of Divinity degree, and was ordained in 2009.    She is a past president of the American Baptist Women of New Jersey and a member of the Ethics Committee at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center in Hamilton.

Our Mission

At Memorial Baptist Church, Yardville, it's our mission to proclaim the Gospel of Christ, to inspire in all people a love for Christ, a passion for righteousness and a consciousness of their duties to God and their fellow human beings. We covenant with each other to demonstrate His Spirit through worship, witnessing and ministry to the needs of the people of this church, the community and the world.
 

Our Purpose​

Just as Jesus said in the Beatitudes, blessed are the poor and the hungry. To prepare it's members, through study, worship and fellowship, to bring the message of the Gospel to the surrounding community and the world.

We are affiliated with the Capital Cluster Association, American Baptist Churches NJ and the Amercian Baptist Churches, USA.
